Oh, yeah? Just try and post this in America without being manned off to jail. Free SpeechWhile it expresses my sentiments, you won't find me hoisting this banner at the next peace rally here in the Republic of Tea Partia.

First off, that's a total British expression - I seriously doubt that sign was in America.
...but you're right Mickey, with the Patriot Act, Private Manning, the Executive Branch's unyielding quest for warrantless searches - we have freedoms - but not nearly as much as the fantasy/myth lay claim.

Rick, you're correct. The protest is in London.
My point was we aren't as free as some people would have us believe, try having a sign like this at a rally in America. Police would be all over you like ugly on an ape. In fact, I don't think the profanity filter here will even permit me to say "twat".

Well, what do you know? I stand corrected. Well maybe we could get half the sign up at a rally.

I think that we are in agreement.

First off, that's a total British expression... Rick, you're correct. The protest is in London. The 'T' word is a total Brit word. Now, if you'll excuse me whilst I take a long puff off a fag...

Is your BF there? No, I gave it a go as it was the most randy sounding Brit thing I could rightly chat up at the moment without bringing shagging into the conversation whilst waiting for my Chinese take-away delivery...

Whenever I hear the line that "They hate us for our freedoms," I think of Voltaire's quote: Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.
