Since January of this year a major governmental scandal posing serious issues for the Obama Administration has been brewing. The administration that promised, "a new era of transparency" has delivered - with stonewalling, redactions, delays and outright refusals to respond to Congressional inquiries into two government operations that have led to the deaths of at least two Border Patrol agents, the probably deaths of several American citizens, and hundreds of Mexicans. Early in the 20th century the USG invaded Mexico with far less provocation.....
I'm referring to ATF operations "Fast and Furious" and "Project Gunwalker". Monday saw the opening preparations for what promises to be an interesting battle as Congressman Darrel Issa established legal precedent for Congressional supoena of Presidential appointeess. USAG Holder is squarely in Mr. Issa's sights, as are various senior executives of AFT and the DOJ. Other information links this activity back to the Oval Office. So far the DOJ and AFT have managed to conceal the scope of these operations. But, thanks to the tireless efforts of two "non-print" investigators, Codrea and Vanderbrough, and numerous loyal ATF agents the real facts are emerging despite a lot of fog generation from the White House.
Tomorrow starts the real fun as agents, survivors, victims and at least one Senator are scheduled to testify to Mr. Issa's Committee.
Harken back to Watergate and the Iran-Contra incidents. The MSM filled the airwaves, used car loads of ink and megabytes of bandwidth. Now, almost nothing........ >Mech

Agent: I was ordered to let U.S. guns into Mexico(CBS News)
WASHINGTON - Federal agent John Dodson says what he was asked to do was beyond belief.
He was intentionally letting guns go to Mexico?
"Yes ma'am," Dodson told CBS News. "The agency was."
An Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms senior agent assigned to the Phoenix office in 2010, Dodson's job is to stop gun trafficking across the border. Instead, he says he was ordered to sit by and watch it happen.
Investigators call the tactic letting guns "walk." In this case, walking into the hands of criminals who would use them in Mexico and the United States.

And this guy has the documents to back this up? Otherwise it's just he said/he said. After all, there have been those that claim things that turned out to be untrue-like Presidnet Obam dissing military personnel in Germany.

I don't know, but usually they don't email or send certified letters regarding these kind of orders. Any memos or written references to anything regarding these projects probably found their way to the shredder long ago. When you have agents testifying under oath, it's usually a little more than "he said/she said," especially when the ATF and DOJ are stonewalling. I wouldn't be too surprised if these charges- if proven true- lead to AG Holder seeking new employment.

If they had succeeded in bringing down a big drug cartel they would have been heroes. Now they are goats.

Scoutgal, You can bet the ranch Rep. Issa and Sen. Grassley have the "Real McCoy" in hand. Agent Dodson is their pipeline into ATF's role in this travesty. Visit http://www.gunnewsdaily.com/index.php/article-archives/768-16-june-2011-gun-news-headlines for many hours of testimony. I particularly reccommend the segment featuring the Terry family and ATF agents that were conducting the "investigations" as beng the most informative. >Mech

Rumor has it someone dropped a lot of files/E-mails, and briefing papers on the desk of Sen. Grassley. lThe gentlemen are well prepared.
I'll also add America owes an enormous debt of gratitude to Mssrs. D. Codrea and M. Vanderbrough for their untiring efforts to bring this crime to the attention to Congress and the public.
I also humbly suggest everyone listen to a cousin's recital of a poem written by deceased Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry as part of his training to become a BORSAT. >Mech.
