... particularly up north and east. Oh well, they're all about sucession anyway. Yes, it's just one thing after another, ain't it?

Yeah, Rick, all those raging rivers are now emptying out East and flooding all those places that want to secede from the rest of us. I'm betting they might be glad they still have state/federal aid right about now.

Thanks, Phil. We're actually set to fly back east later today. The big sticking point was whether they would open up I-25 so we could get to the A/P. Just heard it is opened at our access point, thank goodness. Today looks like any other beautiful fall day here; you'd never know the devastation just down the street. This has been the most bizarre thing I've ever seen weather-wise here in CO in my 37 years. I think we're getting out just before another bout of rain coming. Next...locusts. Just sayin'.

Those poor norther-eastern folks in Colorado just can’t find a state where their views would be represented, because WE ONLY HAVE 50 DANG STATES ALREADY!!
All because fellow citizens who vote in democratic elections for folks who then pass laws through an open and transparent process, and clearly, and because...TYRANNY!
And, also, too, the incessant whining about not having their voice heard. Can't they write a letter to their elected officials and be ignored like the rest of us that don’t have enough money to set up a superPAC to buy Congressional influence?

We too have our "northern"county problems. Because once Jerry Brown agrees to let the counties succeed and Congress says, "OK, sure...whatever," the new state would undoubtedly become a utopia, with a population of 44,000, six towns with over 1000 people each, and a fairly decent tourist industry - which is clearly and obviously enough to support the state government of Galt’s Gulch without "taker" federal tax dollars just like other red states. Oh wait...what?!? It would have two votes in the U.S. Senate, just like the 38 37.9999657 million people in the rest of California. But they’d all be happy in their new paradise, at least until the decent freedom-loving citizens of Weed and Dunsmuir get tired of being dictated to by those TYRANTS! in Yreka, and vote to form the new state of Baja Siskiyou.
