Quote
The astroturf fraud known as the Tea Party was literally invented by a cabal of uber-rightist millionaires and corporations with interests in tobacco and oil. The prime movers were the Koch brothers, who transited from their father’s John Birch Society to their own front groups, Americans for Prosperity and FreedomWorks.
I never knew that the Koch's father was a JBS founder until Jeff told me in a post. Now that information is everywhere. Hmm

...it's like when you see a car on the road that you just noticed - and then you see it everywhere!

Rick, this might creep a lot of people out but I had a year and a half "flirtation" with all things Birch somewhere around the year 2001. I accumulated a fairly impressive collection of books by Steve Bonta, including his signature work "Inside the United Nations: A Critical Look at the UN" and proceeded from there to the Alex Jones radio show, where I became a rather devoted fan.

Then I woke up!

I think I probably have about 35 to 40 books from the JBS.

It is creepy. My aunt used to tell me the best part of eating the lobster was the poo. That was the last time I ate lobster. Once you take a long, serious look at what you're eating (reading, participating in), the horror factor turns on, and then you you realize what you've done. nono

Kinda like that time you went to Italy and realized you were eating horse.

I don't know if I'd invest too much in the musings of O'Reilly. He said on the night of the compromise that ended the shut down that, "Obama had completely lost independent voters", Hmmmm:Opinion: Independents desert GOP; http://thehill.com/opinion/columnists/juan-williams/328165-opinion-independents-desert-gop

I think there may be two possibilities
1. these folks believe the delusion
2. they are smart enough to realize they bit the big one and have to lie to the troops to keep it from getting worse than it is

dealers choice

ignorance is the enemy
without equality there is no liberty
America can survive bad policy, but not destruction of our Democratic institutions
