Joe, that was the "classic" Temps lineup of David Ruffin, Eddie Kendricks, Melvin Franklin, Otis Williams and Paul Williams. Doesn't get much better than that! Thanks for posting.

BTW, I was born in Detroit, and raised in a suburb thereof. We used to sneak into the Michigan State Fair (held in Detroit in late August) to watch the various Motown groups for free. (We "sneaked" in to avoid the 50 cent entrance fee (circa 1967)!

Curious... That song reminds me of painting a 1952 Jeep station wagon, which I did in 1975. Another confession of sorts - I went for more than a year (2010) waking up in the morning with a MoTown or other R&B song in my head every morning when waking up. I swear they did not repeat during a whole year, and I do not know where they came from, as I was more of a John Denver, Leo Kottke, James Taylor sort of guy. Honest to gawd, you can ask my poor wife.
You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the old model obsolete. R. Buckminster Fuller
