i agree with the pov but remain disappointed that prez could not manage better pr for his policies
it seems perverse that so many successes feel disappointing to the public which erodes public support for those policies and fuels support fo do something else

I guess that, once all the facts are in, history will report that President Obama achieved amazing things on behalf of middle America, especially considering that he was under a constant barrage of "friendly fire."

disappointed that prez could not manage better pr for his policies Unfortunately Republicans have controlled the message and the media from day one. From the Birthers to Benghazi, there has been a barrage of lies, exaggerations, misrepresentation and a party willing to undermine the entire nation and economy to make the Obama Presidency a failure. He has stubbornly refused to fail. All in all I've been satisfied with this presidency, it could have undone all the wrongs of the previous presidency had Republicans been willing to compromise and work together for the betterment of the nation. They have chosen instead to double down against him. We shall see how they fare over the next two years and whether the dismal approval ratings of congress get better or worse before the next election.

Interesting (rational fact-based) take on Obama's legacy. Clearly not written by a conservative.

A well reasoned argument is like a diamond: impervious to corruption and crystal clear - and infinitely rarer.

Why History Will Eviscerate Obama So this is the flip side. A somewhat weaker article as there seems to be no solid reasoning behind it. Even as a supporter of this president I believe I could write a better article explaining why his legacy will be one of failure.

Even as a supporter of this president I believe I could write a better article explaining why his legacy will be one of failure. I seriously thought this was a satirical piece, then I saw it was the Weakly Standard... and realized it was just a joke. I was trying to count up the number of discredited tropes... but the writing was just too smarmy and convoluted to follow.
