How do the anti Clinton (and Reagan loving) conservative attack dogs reconcile this?
Speaking only for myself, I cannot reconcile this.

What Pence meant to say is "That's not really what Donald meant."

Or even more truthfully: "He just said that because that's what his supporters want to hear."

But then what are the rest of us to believe? Certainly not what Donald says. And apparently not what Pence says either.

I'm not voting in any of the polls about this debate because I didn't watch the debate. In fact, I didn't even know it was on.

I have no desire to watch the video of it either.

Thanks for responding Golem. Your presence here is appreciated as you seem to be the only conservative left on this site. Although I don’t consider myself to be conservative or liberal. It depends on the issue for me.

I guess I would call myself a pragmatist.

The mind of Mike Pence is obviously filled with Mexican "things".
Seven Mountains Dominionism.
If you don't know what that is, look it up.
THAT IS what a Mike Pence administration will consist of.
Think Cheney only with a God complex added.
Don't forget, the Vice-President in a Trump administration WILL BE "in charge of most foreign and domestic policy", because Trump has stated that repeatedly, and so has his campaign.

All of the above requires a person who can, as a professional criminal, engage in the practice of lying the way Roy Orbison sings, and Bob Dylan once noted that Orbison "sang like a professional criminal".

I'd say Mike Pence has surpassed Ooby Dooby and Pretty Woman and moved into "In Dreams" because when he prevaricates, you don't even hear the words he's saying anymore, you're just hearing the tone of his voice and seeing him shake his head.

And the way he shakes that head, even when it is full of Mexican things, is PFM.

Jeff- couldn't find the connection between Pence and Seven Mountain Dominionism. Do you have something that links him to it? I'd be curious to see that. I know he talks like one of the cult, in a Cruz kind of way.

I think I read that it was Cruz's dad who was connected somehow.

Mike Pence has tucked his religiosity deep into his vest pocket for the duration of his late political career, so I guess I will have to "suspect" and "allege" his dominionism unless and until something solid, something beyond his affinity for Ted Cruz, pops up.

There's THIS:

One contemporary example will suffice. David Lane, a leading Christian Right electoral organizer, declared in a 2013 essay that religious war may be on the horizon.81 Meanwhile he has shifted the electoral emphasis of his Mississippi-based American Renewal Project. (The group hosts all-expenses paid policy briefings for clergy and their spouses, featuring top politicians like Gov. Mike Pence (R-IN), Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), Gingrich, Huckabee, Cruz, and often David Barton. Republican presidential contender Donald Trump addressed one such event in August 2016.82) They are currently recruiting and training clergy with a dominionist vision to run for office at all levels.83 Lane’s own pastor, Rob McCoy, won a city council seat in Thousand Oaks, California, in 2016.84 Lane’s vision is clear: “I don’t think there’s any such thing as a separation of church and state. This was not established as a secular nation, and anybody that says that it is, they’re not reading American history. This was established by Christians for the advancement of the Christian faith. My goal is to return—to restore a biblically based culture and a Judeo-Christian heritage.”85.

these religious nuts are dangerous to our democracy. they do not comprehend the Constitution or use it for their agenda i.e. legalizing discrimination.

From the last contingent of Republican candidates, I considered the following men disqualified for reason, Sen Cruz, as the most dangerous, Dr Carson, for two reasons, Gov Huckabee, Sen Santorum, and finally a well disguised Sen Rubio.

These candidates placed the Bible above the Constitution. We have a secular government by design. It needs to remain outside the realm of religion.

ignorance is the enemy
without equality there is no liberty
America can survive bad policy, but not destruction of our Democratic institutions
