Maybe it is time for those who work for the government to speak out and call out the dictator who has seized the public sphere. I once worked for the US Justice Department until I could no longer give me over to supporting that war. The job with the government have many benefits and luxuries others do not.
The price of those luxuries is a duty to speak out when we stray from justice and the law. That time can come to each of us at a different moment, and I can respect each. But the staff in Badlands has now seen moment to speak. Others need follow that lead.
I call on everyone working for the federal government now to speak openly if they see their employer stray from democratic principles.
Time to be a real citizen, speak out.

That is one of the good things or bad things, depending on your point of view, about this country. Most of the time the wrong thing, the illegal thing is often hidden by those in power. Till some flunky has a crises of conscience and leaks the information. Our most famous example is Deep Throat.

I applaud them for their courage; this does not include Edward Snowden and those of his ilk.

I imagine we'll see a lot of "speaking out" over the next few years and most of it will fall on deaf ears. Republicans will strike it down as lies and Trump supporters will believe whatever they are spoon fed that agrees with the alternative facts they have come to believe. Democrats will fight from the sidelines but their teeth have been pulled, their nuts cut off, and essentially their tongues cut out. But politics is a pendulum and it will ultimately swing back our way when Republican policy fails as it always has and surely will this time.

Don't take this to mean that we should stop fighting. We must fight harder now than ever before to make our voices heard even though no one is currently listening.

Just keep an eye on those unemployment numbers. When those start to rise you'll see Donald Trump's favorability numbers plummet and along with them approval of Congress will drop even faster.

I really want Trump to continue on his current path. Have at it, sign more presidential orders, written for him by his incredibly clever and educated staff. I want him to do everything but start a war. Right now we only have, as far as I can tell, 4 law suits against him (nobody seems to even talk about the suits against him when he came into office - then, maybe he actually settled them all, had them sealed and moved on), used his mouth to attack only 1 country (Mexico, but my money is on Germany, or Canada next), banned entry by every middle east country but Israel and those Muslim countries that have actually sent a terrorist to our shores (as far as we know), and he has done a middling job of pissing more of us off. I want him BUSY!!!

This is, as far as I know, they ONLY we are going to get rid of our presidential jackass! Encourage him, sing his praises and just hope he continues on his spiral down the popularity ladder. Get on Twitter and tell him what a great job he is doing for us, ie. speak up! The more, the better!!!!

If I could find a magic way to limit the social, economic, political, cultural and environmental damage ONLY to the FAMILIES of the people who support this [censored], and not to the entire planet and everyone else in it, I swear to you I would endorse every single thing Trump does.

Great, I say let them live in the world of their own making, let them give birth to horribly damaged kids who writhe in agony and cannot learn, let them suffer and die and kill each other in their holy wars, let them all be swept into the gaping maw of the Hell that they made, and I'll bring the popcorn and film the fakking spectacle.

The PROBLEM is, I don't know of a way to do that, and these problems appear to be marching straight down every street in America, and down the street of every nation on Earth.
Our enemies are celebrating and dancing in the street because they know that America will soon sink beneath the waves, while our beloved friends are recoiling in horror.

There is nothing one can do to make a true believer see the light.
These fundamentalists are so convinced that they are right that you cannot compromise with them, you cannot reason with them, you cannot even discuss with them. Their only mission is to attack and ultimately KILL anyone and everyone who does not bow down and express loyalty and fealty to the fundamentalist cause without reservation and without hesitation.

Fundamentalists cannot be reasoned with. Their behavior mirrors that of a DRUG ADDICT.
