Maybe instead of hypocrisy I should have written "craven cowardice." Key Republicans ...eager to sweep Flynn scandal under the rugCongressional Republicans who hounded the Obama administration and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over the 2012 attacks on American personnel in Benghazi are not nearly as eager to investigate the Trump administration’s handling of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn. I fully expect Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R – UT) to continue pursuing Clinton for her e-mail and/or Benghazi. To bad they are unable to fulfill their job requirements.

Way to go Rep. Chaffetz. Investigate the white house leakers, not the "leaks" to the russians and potential damage to the nation's security. Jason Chaffetz Finally Calls for an Investigation ... Into White House Leaks House Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte sent a letter to the Department of Justice’s inspector general Wednesday calling for an investigation into leaks from Trump’s White House, including the disclosure to the press by anonymous officials that National Security Adviser Michael Flynn’s conversations with the Russian ambassador to the United States, Sergey Kislyak, had likely been intercepted by American intelligence. I feel so comfortable now.

Jason Chaffetz Finally Calls for an Investigation ... Into White House Leaks This reminds me of the South Park episode where the Catholic Cardinals all met to discuss how to deal with the child molesting problem. The sole topic of the meeting was how to get the kids not to tell.

I was flabbergasted by Trump's assertion during the press whateverthatwas yesterday of Flynn "What he did wasn't wrong." He said he'd fired him because of what he'd said to Mike Pence, and explicitly said his conversation, and the content thereof, with the Russian ambassador was fine with him - indeed, "You know, I didn't direct him, but I would have directed him if he didn't do it, OK?", TMP, reflecting what his staff, bizarrely, has said for days. White House: Flynn Did ‘Nothing Wrong’ None of them have any qualms about violations of law or national security. Sort of the definition of sycophantism. Remind you of anyone?
