Faux News, and other right wing outfits, are trying desperately to create an outrage "thing" about a Colbert joke. Stephen Colbert lambasted for 'homophobic' attack on Trump - BBC. I, frankly, find this behavior abhorrent, and a dilution of real outage. It appears (I mean this seriously) that the Trump administration is again seeking to use the Russian fake news/meme machine in this effort to disparage a perceived opponent. Watch this space.
A well reasoned argument is like a diamond: impervious to corruption and crystal clear - and infinitely rarer.
Here, as elsewhere, people are outraged at what feels like a rigged game -- an economy that won't respond, a democracy that won't listen, and a financial sector that holds all the cards. - Robert Reich

Google "Colbert insults homos" and you'll get the flavor...

The mere mention of the possibility of a homosexual relationship outside of marriage is, by definition, an homophobic act of sexual discrimination . . . Not to mention hideous in the Eyes of the Almighty. The same logic does not, obviously, apply if the joke was made about the president and Le Pen. Such a joke would most decidedly not be a sign of heterophobia . . . Not to mention pretty flattering to both parties?

If you've been "watching this space", you know by now the FCC's Republican Chair, Ajit Pai has vowed that the FCC to investigate, 'take appropriate action' on Colbert’s Trump rant. This should chill is all to the bone. Notwithstanding the legal requirement for a balanced FCC commission, the GOP has manipulated membership by not filling the Dem seats. Pai was nominated to a GOP seat, and was four and a half years into his five year appointment when elevated by Trump. Currently there are two Republicans and one Dem on the FCC. I would expect another GOP nominee, and maybe a Libertarian. ("No more than three Commissioners may be of one party," but that doesn't mean the others have to be Democrats.) This operation is straight out of the Putin handbook. Create a "stir" with faux outrage, then respond to that with State power. Autocrats the world over have learned this technique - see How Anti-Democratic Propaganda Is Taking Over the World - Politico; How Is America Going To End? Five steps to totalitarian rule. - Slate; How to Build an Autocracy - the Atlantic

The only reason why this is happening, is because Reich-wingers think that "Liberals" have taken down four CONservative media personalities: Bill O'Reilly, Roger Ailes, Milo Yiannopoulos, and Tomi Lahrer - and this was only in the first four months of this year! Because the # CONservativeMediaSwampIsBeingDrained, CONservatives are out for blood. Please, Cobert is not the first person to ever suggested that Trump is fellatio'ing Putin.

Cobert is not the first person to ever suggested that Trump is fellatio'ing Putin. I'm seeing images on 4chan that suggest that constantly now. People keep on reposting it as soon as the thread expires.
