Since the democratic Party is in the process of instigating a bloodless, so far, coup, they should be treated as a terrorist organization and banned. Their leadership should be thrown I n jail and their thought should be prosecuted the same was as ISIS' propaganda is banned. Same group, different narrative. grin

The Sedition Act of 1918 (Pub.L. 65–150, 40 Stat. 553, enacted May 16, 1918) was an Act of the United States Congress that extended the Espionage Act of 1917 to cover a broader range of offenses, notably speech and the expression of opinion that cast the government or the war effort in a negative light or interfered with the sale of government bonds.[1]

It forbade the use of "disloyal, profane, scurrilous, or abusive language" about the United States government, its flag, or its armed forces or that caused others to view the American government or its institutions with contempt. Those convicted under the act generally received sentences of imprisonment for five to 20 years.[2] The act also allowed the Postmaster General to refuse to deliver mail that met those same standards for punishable speech or opinion. It applied only to times "when the United States is in war." The U.S. was in a declared state of war at the time of passage, involved in the conflict at the time referred to as the Great War but generally later referred to as the First World War.[3] It was repealed on December 13, 1920.[4]

Though the legislation enacted in 1918 is commonly called the Sedition Act, it was actually a set of amendments to the Espionage Act.[5] Therefore, many studies of the Espionage Act and the Sedition Act find it difficult to report on the two "acts" separately. For example, one historian reports that "some fifteen hundred prosecutions were carried out under the Espionage and Sedition Acts, resulting in more than a thousand convictions."[6] Court decisions do not use the shorthand term Sedition Act, but the correct legal term for the law, the Espionage Act, whether as originally enacted or as amended in 1918.

Oh please. Nine Benghazi investigations costing the American taxpayer tens of millions of dollars all because you Republicons can't handle the truth the first second, third, forth, fifth, sixth, seventh, or eighth time, tells who the real terrorists are. crazy

Secondly, it's not disloyal to question a mentally ill 71 year old man who has the mental and emotional maturity of a 4 year old toddler. It must be the genetically-linked Alzheimers just like what dear dad Fred died from that is eating away at his brain.

Talk about following in ISIS' footstep, it's not The Dems who want to shrink government small enough to drown in a bathtub. Guess who else wants to degrade and destroy government? Yup, ISIS and al Queda. The GOP, Tea Party, ISIS and al Queda are different how exactly?

...and for the record, ISIS exists because of your guy's foray into wrecking a sovereign nation and his guy L Paul Bremmer firing all of the Iraqi police and military three months later after our invasion. Those tactically trained men didn't go open falafel carts after losing their livelihood.

Obama spent eight years fixing your guy's mess and it did a good job doing so. Then your side has the nerve to whine and complain that BAMZ!!! didn't fix W Bush's mess well enough to suit you.

You should be on your knees kissing the ground that The Dems walk on. You...are...welcome. smile

Not only is what you are doing probably criminal, but it is the height of sour grapes! Imagine if the Republicans had done anything like this to Obama? Hell, Dems have no sense of humor, and a collective sense of historical guilt that they force on anybody they can get to listen to them.

No, I know that the Republicans do not have the balls to suggest that a major national political party, who has organized violent protests, could possibly be a criminal organization. But sometimes, the truth will see the light of day.

Besides, it wasn't the Republican Party who sacrificed a US Ambassador in the name of political correctness, then arrested some poor guy on trumped up charges, to deflect the truth. Ah hell, we all know that the Dems don't care about the US.

Tim, it appears your account has been hijacked. You might need to check your security settings... Wait, is this a prank?

A well reasoned argument is like a diamond: impervious to corruption and crystal clear - and infinitely rarer.

Here, as elsewhere, people are outraged at what feels like a rigged game -- an economy that won't respond, a democracy that won't listen, and a financial sector that holds all the cards. - Robert Reich

We're the ones who are tying to ensure that everyone has healthcare - not just the people who can afford it. And we're not the ones who think that pregnancy is a pre-existing condition.

"....who is not aware that all liberals are anarchists??"
Rick, the anarchists only show up at liberal events because they know they won't get shot.
They have nothing but contempt for liberals, okay?
That's straight from the mouths of the anarchists themselves.
They only like the fact that liberals draw numbers.
They're parasites, and Tim has no inkling of the concept of a "state controlled opposition" and the reasons WHY a controlled opposition is important to a police state.

They control the narrative, so they need to present something that feeds Tim's confirmation bias and reward seeking behavior while justifying the enormous amount of privilege (note I didn't say WHITE privilege, just PRIVILEGE) that allows him to elevate himself above the fray like a good Ayn Rand follower should.

As I have said for years here at CHB, gay rights should be the prototypical Republican issue. It ain't none of my business who is sleeping with whom.
