I guess you don’t ever know what kind of worms are in someone else’s brain. I have heard that many? lots? a number? of people contemplate suicide. I have never. But there is still some inkling in my psyche that there is an “aw f*ck it all, what does it matter” point.
I find myself saying goddammit Bourdain, you were an inspiration to the planet - why?
But maybe being an inspiration to the planet is a heavy burden...
You never change things by fighting the existing reality.

I have always thought that running away seems a much better solution than suicide. Most bad situations are caused by our relationships with other people. Why not just move somewhere else, quit that obnoxious job, leave grad school, divorce, etc.?
I guess the only thing you can't run away from is yourself.
