I thought we could use a thread for discussing all the indictments, trials, and convictions of Trump's supporters and staff. I'll start at the beginning: First Congressional Trump Supporter: Insider Trading A judge on Friday sentenced former Rep. Chris Collins (R-N.Y.), an early and staunch ally of President Donald Trump, to 26 months in prison after he pleaded guilty last September to conspiracy to commit securities fraud.

Here's another good one: Nunes Threatens Lawsuit Nunes lawyer sent Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) a letter threatening a lawsuit for slander. Lieu's reply: “I received your letter ... in which you state your client Congressman Devin Nunes will sue me if I don’t, among other actions, issue a public apology to Devin Nunes,” Lieu wrote to Nunes’ attorney in the letter he posted on Twitter. “It is true that I stated Congressman Nunes worked with Lev Parnas and conspired to undermine our own government.”
Lieu warned that “truth is a defense” and then snapped: “I welcome any lawsuit from your client and look forward to taking discovery of Congressman Nunes. Or, you can take your letter and shove it.” Dairy farmer versus former state prosecutor: I wonder how well that is going to work out...

Yet another interesting fact: Lying during jury selection while under oath is a felony, and people do go to prison for that. Like this moron: 2 Year Sentence for Perjury So when potential jurors in Trump's senate trial swear to serve as impartial jurors, although they already said they would not, how is that any different? Will Senators McConnell and Graham get indicted for perjury at some future date? Or do some senators need to recuse themselves out of self-preservation? Should John Roberts warn them, as presiding judge?

Pelosi is absolutely right to refer to the entire bunch as "Trump's Henchmen". One would have thought that the Dems would have run with that one - well, not really........ <sigh>

His tweet came in response to author Don Winslow, who asserts that sources in the DOJ tell him Barr has shut down six investigations into “Trump and Trump related companies and surrogates,” and prevented two other investigations from beginning.

Of course, those investigations are not really killed. They just get put off until January. Then the manure truck hits the fan. Like there's a chance a reelected Trump will ever allow any of these investigations to proceed? He's becoming more and more like Putin every second of every day, and we're just standing around and watching.
