Now is the Spring of our discontent, and with that

WELCOME

to the Reader Rant RoundTable for Spring 2020

The only thing to write about is the thing that occupies everyone's mind right now.

[Linked Image from media.graytvinc.com]

Normally we'd all be seeing the signs of Spring approaching.
Snow would be melting up North and in the Midwest, young folks would be flirting in the parks and at the lakes, kids in school would be planning their prom and graduation and overall economic activity would be cruising along like a favorite hot rod on a country road.

Not this time.
I wish I had something better, even some dark humor.
I don't, but if anyone else does, please feel free to add.

Management came by at 8 am to send everyone who wasn't already working at home, home to work. I hung-around to 11:45 am. I vanpool.

Working from home this afternoon was meh. Have to remote in to my computer at work and take it from there. Can't have as many windows open either. Like three maximum. I was on the phone to I.S. once an hour. I remembered to clean my memory and history before attempting to do anything work related. I didn't remember to peruse my crowded desktop icons and had some sexy and embarrassing screen grabs.

Oops. gobsmacked

Do you let them remotely operate your computer? As long as you don't have remote desktop enabled, your desktop should be secure. Now you know what it's like to be married! I keep my desktop very clean.

I.S. had to take over my computer today because one piece of software that I use at work, the links wouldn't work. I.S. cleaned the cache, and yes, a pin on Safari popped up which I quickly closed.

Got rid of all desktop pics and the two pins on Safari. smile

Costco has suspended their famous return policy until further notice. No, you cannot bring back seven giant packs of 48-count toilet paper because you bought 12 giant packs of it and you now realize that you bought 3 year's worth. Same with your hand sanitizer and disinfection wipes. smile

...and stop bringing-back your formerly live Christmas tree in March because it died. coffee

WA state Governor Inslee is closing down the state effective Wednesday for two weeks. It was bound to happen. Hmm

Anybody ever watch Celebrity Apprentice, starring Donald Trump? I watched all of a minute before changing channels - I wasn't a fan of fake 'reality' as entertainment.

Still not a fan of it as government...

You never change things by fighting the existing reality.
To change something, build a new model that makes the old model obsolete.

This is the first time I've actually hoped an actual pot of gold really was at the end of that rainbow but at this point I am beginning to think all the gold in the world won't save us.
