It's a pretty groovy place for an old swamp pellar. They're making me move to the village soon. They say I can't be trusted out here alone.
Good coffee, good weed, and time on my hands...

We just had days and days of rain. I got a washtub on my porch and the damned thing is full of rain water just in the last week. Who says it never rains in Southern California. Anyway, after a good rain, I can see Santa Catalina from end to end, and even San Clemente Island (55 miles away). I can also see the snow on Mounts San Jacinto and San Gorgonio (about 60 miles away).

So my cousin got my grandfather's WWII records declassified from the Canadian government, given that the secrets act has expired.
My grandfather had told us that he trained soldiers from 1942 to 1944, then "helped clean up the mess." It turns out that meant he worked on cracking death camps and rounding up guards and SS men for trial. He was almost unique, it turns out, in that none of his charges had "accidents", and they all lived to meet the hangman. Which fits, my grandfather was a very cold-blooded man.
We also found out I have one more aunt than I thought, since my grandfather did a little [censored] around in England in 44. We just received an email reply from this new aunt, and it turns out that I have a bag of cousins and an even bigger bag of their kids and grandkids we never knew we had. So, you know, my family just got bigger, and that's more than okay.
What can we do to help you stop screaming?

Sweet! Wisconsin Voter Suppression Backfires The Republican attempt to suppress the vote in Wisconsin failed to recognize that motivated urban Democrats denied mail ballots will go stand in line for hours to vote, while a lot of rural Republicans who wanted to vote by mail won't go stand in line. Republicans shot themselves in both feet since now they are all about blatant voter suppression and the state supreme court judge they wanted to win has been defeated anyway.

Boy howdy, if oil prices sink much lower, Exxon-Mobil might have to lay off some members of Congress.

If you're getting a $1,200 Trump socialism check instead of direct deposit, those checks will begin to be mailed in three weeks. Why the delay? Fatass Trump wants his name on the check. “You are getting your money late because the President thinks it is more important that his name be on the check than that you are able to pay your bills on time,” Schatz tweeted. “This is not a rhetorical flourish. The checks are delayed. Because Trump.” Let this sink in...Americans desperate for their check have to wait so that Trump can make his socialism checks vanity checks to himself. You can't make that stuff up.
