I've noticed if I checked the keep me signed in box, every time I return to the site, I have to log back in. Now I leave it blank. I log in in the morning, as long as I leave my computer on, I stay logged in. Turn it off, then I have to log back in again.

I always wondered about that. My advice would be trying not to check the keep me log in box and see if that helps. It sure did me, now I log in first thing in the AM and am set until bedtime. As long as I don't turn off the computer that is.

Well, I don’t expect perfection out of anyone or anything. There’s less disappointment thataway.

We have a surprise election in full swing. It's so much of a surprise that only 2 parties are currently running in my riding, which my American cousins may recall as unusual for us up here. The other surprise is really the one being experienced by Justin Trudeau, who is not looking like he'll get the result he was looking for. Excitement and enthusiasm surrounding the whole exercise appears to be right up there with getting a COVID test...

Speaking of COVID, we're edging into our 4th wave in Ontario, with our provincial leadership AWOL. That's slightly better than actually having them at the helm, having steered us into waves 2 and 3 with the whole bus yelling at them to pump the brakes.

Otherwise, despite most of the west of the country being on fire or within a stray cigarette of a conflagration, Ontario is having a near perfect growing season...

I have never had good luck at timing flies, they are most uncooperative.

I’ll have to jump on this band right wagon as well. My family came to the US from Scotland via Ontario, the Southampton area.

My folks live south of Kincardine, which is where I went to high school, so near enough.

There is a really good documentary series "The Bruce" on TV Ontario's web site. I hadn't realized that the population of the area had basically already halved by the early 1900's as farmers' children moved west to establish their own places as the prairies opened up. It seems that "through migration" has been a thing there for a long time.

That said, for a few glorious summer months you can't beat the beaches. The area is seeing a boom with "work from home" and COVID. Cottages are being bought up, though. With the Muskokas becoming just wee bit busy the Toronto Financial District set are buying summer digs in the Bruce. The bugs aren't as bad as Muskoka either...

With global heating the winters no longer leave you housebound for 3 day stretches by waist high drifts on your front door, either...

... and it's been a while since I've been down to Florida... I think it was Pioneer 11 that we watched launch.

My business partner had a house down there at that retirement village called "Naples" but sold up after the last big hurricane.

Naples has got the Red Tide. That's worse than any hurricane.

A grandmother I never met was from Quebec, it's more a mythical homeland than anything else, I've never been there. I'm in a hilly little town in central Florida, as far as you can get from the ocean in either direction. So far global warming has improved the weather here too.

My house just went on the market for a ridiculous amount of money. I haven't lived there for nearly a year and the market has just gone crazy. I was hoping to get 260 but it just listed for 419...
