Followup on the PHPBB inquiry. They decided they couldn't handle the conversion but with the generosity shown here, we have kept RR on its server for at least another month or so until we can find a more permanent, and affordable, home. Without you, this would not have been possible. I'm overwhelmed and very, very thankful.

Doug, you've provided a platform and an outlet for my political rants for 16 years, I appreciate it more than you can imagine!

Would it be possible to downsize RR a bit? We carry a lot of baggage and history that could be archived elsewhere. A streamlined version is the best any of us could have hoped for without your help.

Our needs are fairly simple these days.

Good point. It has grown. Let kick some ideas around. I'm the absentee landlord here, which means I may be too out of touch to know what is best, but let's see if we can get some interest on streamlining. The help that arrived today, which I cannot give enough thanks for, will give us some breathing room.

I hate to be a PITA with those who have helped us so much today. PayPal has put a hold on the bulk of donations that arrived today, saying they need to confirm, from each, that they are making the payment without buying anything that needs to be delivered. The payments set off some alarm with PayPal putting in a hold.

I had planned to use some of the money to keep the current server running for another month while we find a more cost-effective way to upgrade the system to a better server, but the hold puts that exertion in jeopardy because the server will shut down on Monday if I don't extend it for another month.

If anyone who contributed got anything from Paypal wanting to confirm the payment, please respond to them so I can pay the server rent.

Hopefully, we will have RR moved to a better place before they raise the end on the current location on April 1.

Nothing from Paypal as of yet. I even logged into the account. As far as that goes, everything looks fine with no holds. I'll check again first thing AM.

Yours was the first one to come in and didn't get held. The second was everything that followed. With luck, I'll have enough freed up to renew the server no later than Monday, and it's thanks to you and the others. Without you, we would be dead in the bit bucket at midnight on Mondy,

Doug, the exact same thing happened to me when I first released my Leon Russell concert DVD in 2005, and again when I re-released the improved version in 2017.
All of a sudden I was getting fifty or even a hundred orders a day at $25 bucks a pop and PayPal's bots thought something was amiss.
After a day of phumphing around with that nonsense, suddenly they relented and released everything.
