Yet Couy Griffin was removed from office as an Otero County, NM, commissioner due to his Constitutional violation of the insurrection clause.

The aforementioned Magats passionately argue that a State level court can't enforce a Federal law, thereanduntofor the conviction "don't count".

Said Rantpack has been speaking at length already but a new voice has risen to say that power was peacefully transferred on January 6th as far as he is concerned.

The ConROT definition of "peaceful" is, of course, violence.

...and as rporter316 has pointed out, now that guns are allowed into the Capitol, the next J6 coup participants will be armed.

Not only was rporter right, the fact is, any old railbird (a NASCAR term) would have recognized this the moment Republicans began demanding that Capitol security fencing erected in the wake of J6 be torn down.
That same fence is going up again in prep for the State of the Union speech but thanks to the new GOP House, GUNS will be allowed in chambers.
I can confidently bet money that no one can come up with a valid reason for wanting them.

Come on people, they're trying to set up an assassination attempt. That, or the ability to disarm Capitol Police in case of another insurrection are the ONLY POSSIBLE reasons why anyone would want guns allowed in chambers.

Stop saying "It can't happen here" because "IT" has happened here, and it is continuing to "happen here", right under our noses.

Republicans are counting on the innate tendency for civilized people to instinctively insist that "it can't happen here" in order to continue making their plans.

Their slogan is a bit different:
"IT MUST HAPPEN HERE"

That's because THEIR "it" is permanent theocratic strongman rule by a cadre of wealthy white Dominionist elite fascists.
