Does this belong here?
..............................

Senior citizens are constantly being criticized for every conceivable deficiency of the modern world, real or imaginary. We know we take responsibility for all we have done and do not blame others.

HOWEVER, upon reflection, we would like to point out that it was NOT the senior citizens who took:

    The melody out of music,
The pride out of appearance,
The courtesy out of driving,
The romance out of love,
The commitment out of marriage,
The responsibility out of parenthood,
The togetherness out of the family,
The learning out of education,
The service out of patriotism,
The Golden Rule from rulers,
The nativity scene out of cities,
The civility out of behavior,
The refinement out of language,
The dedication out of employment,
The prudence out of spending,
The ambition out of achievement, or,
God out of government and school.

And we certainly are NOT the ones who eliminated patience and tolerance from personal relationships and interactions with others!!

And, we do understand the meaning of patriotism, and remember those who have fought and died for our country.

Does anyone under the age of 50 know the lyrics to the Star Spangled Banner? or O Canada

Just look at the Seniors with tears in their eyes and pride in their hearts as they stand at attention, on veterans day and our great country's birthday .

This is funny! The same people who didn't trust anyone over 30, now trust no one under 50!

Reminds me of...

Quote
Gold Teeth II...Steely Dan

Who are these children
Who scheme and run wild
Who speak with their wings
And the way that they smile

What are the secrets
They trace in the sky
And why do you tremble
Each time they ride by

Throw out your gold teeth
And see how they roll
The answer they reveal
Life is unreal

Who are these strangers
Who pass through the door
Who cover your action
And go you one more

If you're feeling lucky
You best not refuse
It's your game the rules
Are your own win or lose

Throw out your gold teeth
And see how they roll
The answer they reveal
Life is unreal

I realize this is off-topic BUT

What happens to the gold teeth when one is cremated?

They probably get mined!

Now I am not saying that undertakers would pull out gold teeth, before sewing the jaws shut for a viewing, but something that melts down and falls into a tray under the cremation could be dangerous heavy metals that the public should not be exposed to.

One might ask the contractors that took care of the "burials" of the unclaimed after Katrina, controlled by the Texas mafia. It would not be like them to ignore the mineral rights clause in a, no doubt, no bid, carefully constructed contract.

brings a whole new meaning to the term "Human Resources"
