The senior senator from Arizona has been telling us all weekend that he would have a new economics package for us, implying, it seemed, that it would be out today. Late yesterday/early today, his handlers announced that no such plan would be coming forward from the McCain team. One might infer that he realized the junior senator from Illinois would be issuing a more robust and rational plan and so the elder yielded to the younger in order to once again serve his nation, selflessly and with honor. Thank you, Senator McCain!! http://voices.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/2008/10/13/obama_proposes_new_economic_me.html

Think of it as soundbite pol-econ 101. Yours, Issodhos

Neither McCain nor Obama have a plan, they proved that when both of them voted for the bailout, which only dug the hole a little deeper. This fact is evident when reading the newly released GAO report that doesn't take into account all external factors, such as the economic woes, but basically states, in the clearest language, that the technical state of government bankruptcy will become effective bankruptcy by 2010. The report doesn't take into account the current massive bailout programs the government is involving itself in either, that only adds to the destructive stress placed upon this government. Oh, additionally, here is a nice little picture that really denotes the major issue behind the whole economy:

Or, perhaps the senior suckered the junior into showing his hand before the betting was done, loganrbt.;-) McCain to unveil new economic planMcCain's proposals come one day after Sen. Barack Obama detailed his "economic rescue plan" for the middle class. The Democrat's plan focuses on stabilizing the financial system, providing relief for families and communities, and helping struggling homeowners.
McCain's plan, called "the pension and family security plan," builds on the Arizona senator's "American home ownership resurgence plan," which was introduced last week.
That proposal called for using $300 billion of the $700 billion financial bailout package to keep Americans in their homes, stop declining housing values, and stabilize the financial markets.
McCain's new plan includes specific proposals to help seniors, those saving money, and homeowners.
