I will have to take your word for cold weather elsewhere. The west coast has had a rather warm winter Warm weather has Olympics organizers scrambling VANCOUVER, British Columbia — It's supposed to be "Snowtime" for the Winter Olympians gathered on Canada's western seashore awaiting Friday's start to the Games. But springlike conditions have left organizers scrambling to complete courses for freestyle skiing and snowboarding events at Cypress Mountain, where the white stuff is being delivered by truck and helicopter this week rather than clouds. San Jose Mercury News Here are a selection of links to news stories about unseasonably war weather this winter link link below nasa report Current GISS Global Surface Temperature Analysis J. Hansen, R. Ruedy, M. Sato, and K. Lo NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies, New York, New York, USA Abstract. We update the Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) analysis of global surface temperature change. We use satellite nightlight measurements to identify measurement stations located in extreme darkness. These stations are used to adjust temperature trends of urban and peri-urban stations for non-climatic factors and to help verify that urban effects on analyzed global change are small. As the GISS analysis combines available sea surface temperature records with meteorological station measurements, we test alternative choices for the ocean record, showing that global temperature change is sensitive to estimated temperature change in polar regions where observations are limited. We compare global temperature reconstructions of GISS, NCDC, and HadCRUT. We conclude that global temperature continued to rise rapidly in the past decade, despite large year-to-year fluctuations associated with the El Nino-La Nina cycle of tropical ocean temperature. nasa And below Nasa chart of earth tems.... which shows that although we have not seen warming in the past couple of years... emps are still high and no evidence of cooling ![[Linked Image from lh3.ggpht.com]](http://lh3.ggpht.com/_dAn1lR8eT_M/S64zhLgkSMI/AAAAAAAAKPQ/_9f5XqxMZsw/s640/a%20temps.JPG)

Since it's cold where I am, it is obvious that the earth is not warming or else it would be warm here as well. It's amazing how little common sense the Global Climate Change Evangelists display.

Just imagine how cold it would be if not for Global Warming! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH wow hottest year on records after one of the coldest winters.... how does this fit into the "its all caused by the sun" theory? We are still going through a period of low sunspot activity and yet have the hottest year on record. go figure.

I think GW Bush will alwaysbe the exemplar for "well, it could be worse..."
A well reasoned argument is like a diamond: impervious to corruption and crystal clear - and infinitely rarer.
Here, as elsewhere, people are outraged at what feels like a rigged game -- an economy that won't respond, a democracy that won't listen, and a financial sector that holds all the cards. - Robert Reich

I think GW Bush will alwaysbe the exemplar for "well, it could be worse..." Soon to be replaced by a semi-white guy who likes to visit Martha's Vineyard and who has beg ears and a bigger ego.

Would the Global Heating Deniers please tell us how the increase in greenhouse gases in the atmosphere will not have the effect that elementary physics tells us they must have?

Well, Numan, facts and known scientific properties of compounds just don't make through the word fog of denial land.

I think this is covered by the old reliable argument.... I had snow around my house this winter... I only wish that we had the global warming you guys are talking about.

But I agree with every goal, except for two. 1) I do not agree with trying to scare the sh1t out of people to force them to abandon their free will 2) I do not believe in perpetuating a lie that will ruin the economy of the United States. 1) Tough beans if the truth scares people. This nation, and a growing number of other developing nations along with it, has mastered the "kids who don't want to see the dentist" act. 2) Green economics builds jobs. As long as our politicians (most notably the GOP in the last round) don't give away all the green manufacturing jobs to China, green is good for the economy. Solar builds jobs, wind builds jobs, smart grid, more jobs, high speed rail, jobs, alt fuel (particularly biodiesel and hemp fuels - both diesel AND gasoline) builds jobs, green housing builds jobs, locally owned co-op energy cogeneration builds jobs, local produce builds jobs. There's more but I think I've made my point. The thing that people have to remember about global climate mitigation is that we have the opportunity to shape policies now which will have a very positive effect on our future, economically and environmentally. The only ones whose jobs really are threatened to any extent are the fossil fuels cartels. Tough beans. Adapt, it's something everybody else has had to learn to do.
