Thanks for the recipe, CR. 'Cept I'll have to leave out the onions. Might use onion powder instead. (If I crunch on an onion, dinner is over.) Tonight is elk stew (elk, beef broth, carrots, potatoes, merlot, seasonings. etc.) Mostly organic. Smells good simmering in the kitchen. Will have that...with more merlot ...in about half an hour. ![[Linked Image from yoursmiles.org]](http://yoursmiles.org/tsmile/drink/t0312.gif)

Manhattan Clam Chowder for me. Red Bell Peppers instead of Green though, it's not quite as colorful but Green Peppers don't agree with me.
What is it about the crunch of onions that is so off putting? I love everything about onions but it took me years to get past that crunch thing.
Good coffee, good weed, and time on my hands...

I hope your dinner and wine was good tonight, Naomi. I actually had meat. Pork chops from locally grown. Organic free range. As I think y'all have figured out, we don't eat much meat but we do eat some. I've been in the mood for some pork. I wanted to get the cleanest most trusted so I ordered some online. Lol, it's southern cut meaning it had a lot of fat ribboned through it but I trimmed them pretty good, slow baked them with garlic and onions. Baked organic sweet potatoes and not organic great northern beans. A very fine meal! I forgot to say....you could cut the meat like butter. Oh!

My husband just loves sloppy joes, so I am making them for dinner tonight. They are OK, but not my favorite.

I didn't really know what Naomi was talking about. God, I love raw onions. Crunchier the better. Good sweet vidalias in the summertime. Oh my! I slice them on every single sandwich I eat. In fact, I could eat an onion sandwich. And raw onions are extremely good for you.

There's a cajun restaurant here that makes a sandwich called the June Bug. It's raw onion, butter and mayonnaise. Heart-attack po boy, but it sure is good.

I can eat them like apples too... Heart attack sandwiches? Because of the butter and mayonnaise? I'm not a fan of mayonnaise. That just never took for me. But otherwise, butter and onion. Yeah. where you been Emma?

You know I love ya, Olyve...but 'scuse me while I dry-heave a while. I'll eat just about anything on the face of the earth. But as far back as toddler-time, onions made me sick. Now I can tolerate them in small amounts and well done...like in a stew or Asian dishes...but that's about it. Salsa? OMG, take it awaaaaaay. ![[Linked Image from yoursmiles.org]](http://yoursmiles.org/tsmile/fear/t3613.gif)
