Impotent rage distills into something much more volatile.
Only problem is, it takes time, sometimes too much time.
Yeah... the really funny part of Congress, the Financial Industry, and the Public, is that absolutely no one in the Public, has the foggiest idea about what is going on with Financial Reform.
1300 pages of financial reform is the result of nearly a year's work on the part of the financial industry... to obfuscate.
No one in the media... in the blogs... anywhere in the public forum has put together an explanation of what is going on behind the scenes. The Healthcare Bill is a model of clarity and simplicity compared to Financial Reform.
Put aside (for the moment) the fact that the very highest ranking Government Officials, who are charged with setting the parameters for regulating the Industries, have spent their earning years in blocking those same controls. Consider that the Reform Bill has been in the works now for well over a year...
Now... See if you can come up with three or four items out of that 1300 page bill... and if you could explain how the new rules would affect the banks, or the public?
It's the mushroom syndrome... the government approach to the public interest..
"Feed them a lot of manure, and keep them in the dark."
Aside from the complaint cited in the linked article, and a few more bits and pieces, the information about the bill is fraught with confusion and misdirection.
The amount of propaganda that backs the vested interests amounts to a literal "rape" the country.
This article is evidence of the carefully crafted game of words that is being leaked, piecemeal, to effect damage control for the industry.
Article ... And sometime in the future, when the historians pick their way through the events leading up to the collapse of the economy, it will all be clear.
