AUTOBIOGRAPHY IN FIVE SHORT CHAPTERS by Portia Nelson
I I walk down the street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk I fall in. I am lost ... I am helpless. It isn't my fault. It takes me forever to find a way out. II I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I pretend I don't see it. I fall in again. I can't believe I am in the same place but, it isn't my fault. It still takes a long time to get out. III I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I see it is there. I still fall in ... it's a habit. my eyes are open I know where I am. It is my fault. I get out immediately. IV I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I walk around it. V I walk down another street.
(Thank you, Mellow. I like to think that is me.)

HAVE A GREAT WEEK, Y'ALL!
"Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain."
Morning, everyone. It's family birthday week, too; Dad turns 85 this week, and my sister turns...nevermind.
Weather advisory in effect from 1PM today till tomorrow night. Right now it's 80 degrees and humidity is 76. I'm going to run out to the farmer's market and run right back, as the heat index will range from 108 to 115 today and tomorrow. Good time to stay indoors with a book - but then, what isn't?
Nice opener, Olyve - and I'm glad you like the poem.

Wow, Jeff. Nice touch for today. I watched every bit of it. Thank you.
I hope you're staying cool, Mellow. It's actually cooler here...low 90s. Happy birthday to your dad and sister. Tell her steady on. It's better than the alternative (if I hear that one more time!).

Hi everybody, Would y'all remind me again next year not to go to the gym the first Monday after the students get back? Have mercy. There was a whole sorority house group there. Talk about not knowing protocol! They sure were young and pretty though. Do you have to be blond to be in one?
Yes, Phil. I would imagine Rick will like that one.
Still very hot here but I don't think we've got the hot spot in the country.
Going go make bread now (I hope) Olyve
