Of course. As I wrote earlier in this thread, we will hear, "It's America's fault". By the way, I know of now official policy wherein the United States purchases the drugs from the cartels.

But, I can see a couple of ways that may be a win-win for both the citizens of Mexico and the citizens of the US. Mexico could legalize and recognize the right to the private ownership and use of firearms by Mexicans, thus eliminating the gun smuggling that is going on. I mean, why would they fear the Mexican citizen being armed?

Or, we could cut a deal where for every 5,000 illegal aliens the Mexican government verifiably prevents from sneaking into the US, US border customs folks could prevent one firearm from entering Mexico. See? Win-win.:-)
