Hell, I can walk on water! All it takes is a little rain on the sidewalk!

A well reasoned argument is like a diamond: impervious to corruption and crystal clear - and infinitely rarer.

Here, as elsewhere, people are outraged at what feels like a rigged game -- an economy that won't respond, a democracy that won't listen, and a financial sector that holds all the cards. - Robert Reich

Could it be related to Bernanke gives hope for a real plan?
It is ironic that Citigroup is claiming an $8.3 Billion profit when it has received over $45 billion from the government, plus $300 billion in federal guarantees.

Quite a bit of this Corporate Logic reminds me of an old joke:
Quote
A rich guy walks out of a Vegas casino to get in his limo, when he is approached by an elderly gentleman. "Mister, could you help me out?", he asks. "My wife needs surgery for cancer, and I don't know how we're going to pay for it."

The rich guy pulls a $100 chip out of his pocket and hands it to the fellow, and says: "I can't pay all your bills, buddy. But you can take this inside and play it on your lucky number on the roulette wheel. $3,500 should be a good start if you win."

The elderly gent says: "Oh, I GOT gambling money."

They GOT profit money... They GOT bonus money...

Nope, only one person can do that, or at least thinks he can.

That's what I like about you, Ma, you promised to be fair and you have delivered on that promise.

If I thought my support would turn the economy around, and allow me to retire in 9 years like I had planned to do, I would hitch hike to Washington to organize the rally. Alas, I can only cheer lead from Massachusetts.

Good man, Ma. It's a fool who lets blind partisanship stand in the way of his own best interests. You are not one of them.
