Somebody must be doing something right:
3/23/09 DJIA: 7,779.60 +501.22 (6.89%)
The question now is is it sustainable? A couple of more weeks like the last two, and people might actually start talking about recovery rather than doom-and-gloom. Keep your fingers (and toes, and eyes, and legs) crossed!

Yeah, Snargle...
The market's only down about 6000 points from a year ago. But, crossing everything possible should do the trick. We'll be back in no time. Might be a better strategy than the things that our government's doing?

It will only be sustainable if we put our blinders back on and go back to "business as usual" - that is, ignoring the real value of the productive economy and cheering on inflated values for stocks. $7500-8000 is probably about right for the Dow. More than $10,000 and we are back into la-la-land. (Or go-go-land, in a irrational exuberance kinda way.)
A well reasoned argument is like a diamond: impervious to corruption and crystal clear - and infinitely rarer.
Here, as elsewhere, people are outraged at what feels like a rigged game -- an economy that won't respond, a democracy that won't listen, and a financial sector that holds all the cards. - Robert Reich

Well, the Dow closed at 8500.79 7978.08 today, so according to Ponderer we're almost in trouble again!
