Good to see you, Julie! I'm always glad to see you drop by, although one of these days I'm hoping it will be post-op.

1945 - Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart were married. Legend has it that the couple fell in love in 1943 during making of the film, "To Have and Have Not". Theirs would become one of Hollywood’s most enduring marriages.
1973 - The sensual "Pillow Talk", by Sylvia (Sylvia Vanderpool), earned a gold record. l May 21: a Valentine's Day imposter

On day 6 of Creation Week, did god plan the hatching of Dick Cheney?

Hopefully you'll be good as new one of the days soon. Nice, Scout! Clarke in my 'namesake' movie! He's yummy. I loved the Who clip. We've got that on vinyl. Thanks for the musical memories you provided too OA. I have a day off so we decided to go out for lunch for our anniversary (22 years) on Saturday. You can't get close to the place on the weekends. We had a very nice cajun meal but were too full then for the magnificent bread pudding with peach brandy cream sauce . I guess we'll have to go back just for dessert soon. Going to the gym later for sure! Olyve

You sure about that Day Six thing? Cuz in my bible it says: And there was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.
And God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds." And it was so.
And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the cattle according to their kinds, and everything that creeps upon the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth."
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
And God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth."
And God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.
And to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food." And it was so.
And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, a sixth day. Genisis 1: 23-31 Does Mr. Ham have a different bible than the rest of us?

Seeing the clip of "The Who" and listening to the late sixties sound of these guys sure brought back the memories....!! In July of 1967 we were busy promoting and producing a "Yardbirds" concert at the end of the month, but one night I took off to see a little known group called "The Who" who were opening for "Herman's Hermits". They were amazing! I was blown away by their stage presence; and I wound up snaffling an invite to the afterparty. It was so silly when I look back on it. "The Who" relegated to a hallway and a bathroom by the "stars" of the show and beer bottles everywhere, Keith Moon and his snake curled up in the tub and the guys' incisive, ironic wit; as cutting as any member of "The Goon Show possessed, and spared no one." Outrageously funny! Both "The Who" and "The Yardbirds," relative unknowns, were far more pleasant rockers than many I met over the following years. Where in the world did 42 years go? Still waiting....not knocking at heaven's door yet. Luckily for me, I have taken post-grad courses in ethics, and understand the moral stance adopted by the governing bodies of transplantation here and in your country (UNOS). Well, wish me luck...the waiting is killing me faster than the disease. OA~I am joining the ranks of those awaiting a transplant. Lets keep each other in our thoughts and prayers.

Was it a "leap creation"? BTW, once many eons ago, the Who performed at what was then Anaheim Stadium before 70,000. My brother was a roadie at the time and he got me an onstage pass to take pictures of them -- 15 minutes of heaven, made all the more glorious by a very strong hit of orange. Alas, I an no longer find the slides of the Who but do have some of the opening act, Leon Russell

Does Mr. Ham have a different bible than the rest of us? I think it quite likely that a member of the Ham Family would have a different bible from the rest of us! You sure about that Day Six thing? The portion of the J-Text [Genesis 1:1-2:3] which you quoted refers to Day Six. In the J-Text, both the animals and man were created on Day Six, but the animals were created before man. In the E-Text [Genesis 2:4-3:23], There is no division into days, and man was created before the animals. the Book of Genesis consists of a patchwork of four different texts, dating from different periods, and by different authors. This has been known by biblical scholars for well over a hundred years. the four texts are: The J-Text, written as poetry by an individual or individuals from the southern kingdom of Judah, circa 900 - 800 BC. It is called the J-Text because God is referred to as Yahweh, or Jehovah. Two texts, which taken together, are referred to as the E-Text, are written in prose and were probably written in the northern kingdom, Israel, circa 800 BC. They consistently refer to God as Elohim, and so are called the E-Text. A small part of Genesis is from the P-Text, the Priestly Text, since it is mainly about priestly matters, rituals, and genealogy. It is much latter than the other three, written some time after the Return from Babylon in the sixth century BC. -
