THe difference being that if you chose to provide rain statistics proving your assertion about western Oregon--- you would be able to provide those statistics.

Apparently you are also a master of nuance

Jeeepers.

I am not (a two bit) crook.

Sorry mellow didnt realise!

P.s. Now, that was nuance.;-)

It was?

A well reasoned argument is like a diamond: impervious to corruption and crystal clear - and infinitely rarer.

Here, as elsewhere, people are outraged at what feels like a rigged game -- an economy that won't respond, a democracy that won't listen, and a financial sector that holds all the cards. - Robert Reich

For those interested in evaluating the actual qualifications of Judge Sotomayor, here are some good links:
Two sides to Sonia Sotomayor - LA Times; Sotomayor’s Notable Court Opinions and Article - NYT; Sotomayor's History May Become American History - NYT. And, if you want a picture of the opposition... The Face Of The Sotomayor Opposition - TMP

You mean y'all are finally finished squabbling over whether the prez dissed her by using her first name? Cool.:-)

It's difficult to know what people think beyond the words they say or write. You seem fairly certain, Issodhos, that when you read the Constitution your interpretation is correct. That you know what the Founders were saying when they wrote the words, what they were thinking, in fact. I seldom have any argument with your interpretation and doubt seriously if I will find fault in hers. I would hope simply that this Justice will interpret the Constitution as written rather than as it might be twisted to suit some "Agenda" or "Ideology".

That would probably depend on whether she was immersed in and became a devotee of Critical Legal Studies (or Theory, if you prefer) while matriculating at Yale Law School. Any number of legal beagles seem to have been infected with it.;-)

Oh, you mean, understanding the law, Iss?
