Mellow my dear, that's just not true! Fact is I just ran out of space! In all the Animal Kingdome do you know who has the longest penis? In relation to their body size it is the common Barnacle! A noble and Mostly Heterosexual shellfish. Since they are anchored in place and cannot move they must send their penis out to visit the neighbors. I say mostly hetero because you never know, when you go knocking on doors, who might answer!

Looks like someone forgot to tell Ma Nature that it's almost summertime!  Even though it was June 6, but this is North Dakota, so the snow fell hard in Dickinson Saturday morning. It`s the first time in nearly 60 years the city has seen snow past May. NBC North Dakota News reporter Andrew Keller took a few measurements, and by our unofficial count, it looks like some places may have received two inches of snow.

Sorry to nit-pick (or, in this case, perhaps I should say arthropod-pick ), but it is misleading to call barnacles shellfish. They are, in fact, crustaceans, and so are much more closely related to ladybugs than they are to oysters! The juveniles are free-swimming, and eventually cement their heads to a substrate and become sessile, or fixed in place, for the rest of their lives. Since their heads are unavailable for the task, they eat with their feet --- which I think is much more remarkable than merely having a long penis! Most species of barnacle are hermaphrodites, they are both male and female, as are many sessile or slow-moving organisms --- as you might expect from those who do not manage to get around much!
