The point remains that the joke was made about the daughter in the ballpark. That wasn't Bristol. That was a much younger girl. I submit that, that was unintentional. I submit the joke was meant to be about Bristol. No one in their right mind would make that joke about a fouteen year old.That may be (although I've listened to a lot of "blue" comedians in my life. But "I didn't mean to" isn't good enough - certainly not for someone with 30 years in broadcasting. He knew it, although it took him forever to act on it.

Shame on those who target children with these kind of "jokes" and with titles like for this rant-it's despicable. I don't think much of those who think that just because these children are trotted out by public persona parents, it makes them fair game. That is nothing but meaness and small minded cruelty. It is a form of bullying-the same kind of self-esteem shredding crap that causes kids to cut themselves...or worse. I don't care what side of the political aisle the public figures are with, but leave the kids(and Bristol Palin IS a kid) alone!

You, know, of course, that we have all been taken in by this topic. The real joke was on Alex Rodriguez. Bristol was just the punchline. Of course, Sarah is the joke.

Why did Sarah Palin participate in a SNL skit where it was alluded that Todd, her husband, had sex with his daughters? Oh the election hadn't happend yet and it would not have been politically expiedient for Ms. Palin to complain. Gotcha.

...and why is NOW upset. I didn't realize that Sarah Palin embodied NOW standards and practices and was their poster woman.
