Why must we all agree that the kid was brainwashed? She was taught not to have sex until she was ready to have a baby, she still believes this is good advice. Perhaps you encourage your children to have sex as soon as possible but to use birth control, different strokes for different folks eh? Abstinence only works though if you actually abstain. Condoms only work if you use them.
No one is scoring any publicity points from our little discussion of this here. Mostly we're talking about whether it's right or wrong for Letterman to make sexually charged jokes about the children of politicians. I think it's wrong, apparently you and others think it's right. The age of the children is really of no importance.
