The fact that Republicans in Congress are criticizing President Obama for not getting more involved in the Iranian election tells me they are either:
1) Totally ignorant to the Iranian feelings about the US getting involved in their elections and/or regime changes. (NOBODY in Iran has forgotten about the US-sponsered coup and installation of the much-hated Shah.)
2) Pissed that Obama refuses to "hug that tar baby", so they could make even more out of the inevitable fiasco if he did.
Iranian political reality 101: Any side "supported" by a US President would be doomed, just by his support.
