"It is my personal view that the largest proclamation of one's faith ought to be in how one lives his life." - Mark Sanford.

Now I am wondering what he "proclaimed."

A well reasoned argument is like a diamond: impervious to corruption and crystal clear - and infinitely rarer.

Here, as elsewhere, people are outraged at what feels like a rigged game -- an economy that won't respond, a democracy that won't listen, and a financial sector that holds all the cards. - Robert Reich

That our hypocritical statements about morality, and most definitely sexual mores should be ignored and we should feel free to tell each other the truth about such things. That if we did so consistently we would either not promise monogamy when we really are philanderers, we would tell our partners if and when we feel the desire for other sex partners, and that humans are capable of maintaining many configurations of relationships, not just one. And when we fail to tell the truth we ruin other people's lives.

Geez. Any minute now, I'm expecting to hear the thump of tom-toms as the "talking stick" is passed around the circle -- well, maybe not to the bare-chested fellow still wearing his fecking bowtie. LOL
Yours,
Issodhos

Some hold the talking stick and talk-others just use it to stir the sh*t... [Linked Image from forum.mg.co.za]

So much compassion for this poor woman! So little compassion for those who don't dress like you think they should. Who was that fella in the airport men's room? Funny how quickly you forget their names...I don't remember all this heartfelt love pouring out for his wife nor the gentlemen telling tales of their conquests before they met the loves of their lives. So what's different about this one?

And while we're pouring out the love in our hearts hasn't anyone thought of how Nancyvideo must feel? She looked long and hard for a place where family values reigned supreme, for a place where folks did things they way they were supposed to be done and she chose Scenic South Carolina. She must be crushed to find out that the people of South Carolina are just like the people everywhere else.

Nominated as the best short joke of the year:

A 3-year-old boy examined his testicles while taking a bath.
'Mom', he asked, 'Are these my brains?'
'Not yet,' she replied.

Time after time, day after day, all we hear about is how a man wronged someone's heart.

Bastards!

Stanford is not the first, and he certainly won't be the last.

Fortunately, it's happening to a lot of "fresh-faced" Republicans. Looks better and better for a 2010 keep and hold of the Democratic congress. Bow

What I find interesting is how this guy folded so fast. I mean, usually a guy perpetuates the lie a little while. This guy wilted like a flower in the strong sun.

...takes some lessons from John Edwards you wimp. John still hasn't admitted the kid is his - but I know it is...

The reports on Senator Edwards don't include emails that read like badly written romance novels. wink

Now, now...

Jeff and I have been working on Ms. Video - off site. She's really toned down her rhetoric - and I dare share she might even come over to our side - some day.
