Really?? Fired for not showing up to work for a few days? Seems harsh punishment when you consider the janitor's absence would actually have an impact whereas obviously the governor's didn't.

It is interesting to me that the focus is on his disappearance, use of state funds, etc, rather than on his blatant hypocrisy. I think if every hypocritical politician, every one who failed to perform his or her duties, every one who misused government funds, were asked to resign or be subject of impeachment, we would finally have the clean slate we disingenuously ask for here.
