I use Firefox. A few days ago, I lost the ability to log in on a particular site that I have been using for years. The site people didn't know what happened, and speculated about antivirus or adblocking software or firewall. So while looking for all those things last night, I did something so that now my computer is not retaining any of my passwords, even here at RR. I've tried retracing my steps but no luck so far. (If I go out of RR and come back, I have to log in again). I've done all the obvious things. think I have anyway.

Any ideas? Thanks.

From the information you've supplied you (or a program on your computer) have stopped using the cookies that get put on your computer by programs like RR. The cookies store your login information and then send it up the line when you reach the login screen.

Got to Tools, Options, Privacy, and check the cookie settings there.

I've never been able to stay logged in to CHB's home page without resetting my password every single time.
I've tried the recommended procedures but nothing works.
I've just accepted it and go through the stupid ritual every time I want to post there.

It's just that one site now. And I looked at the cookie settings and that site is on the list of accepted cookies. Wierd.
