I remind you of Nancy Pelosi's "impeachment is off the table". Obama appears to want to continue some of the questionable practices of Bush and Cheney Let's agree that there may be a case to be made that Bush administration did things which were unconstitutional. Possibly even things that might justify impeachment. I was arguing a narrower point which you did not address. Use of the word traitor carries with it certain meanings that are even beyond what is required for impeachment. But, perhaps this is what we are talking about At times, the term "traitor" has been levelled as a political epithet, regardless of any verifiable treasonable action. In a civil war or insurrection, the winners may deem the losers to be traitors. Likewise the term "traitor" is used in heated political discussion – typically as a slur against political dissidents, or against officials in power who are perceived as failing to act in the best interest of their constituents. In certain cases the accusation of treason towards a large group of people can be a unifying political message. wiki

Just curious... setting aside our view of their actions and decisions... where is the evidence that they were intentionally acting against national interests?
I think it is profoundly important that some one who is to be labeled as a traitor should consciously have acted in a manner that regards national interest and serves only his own.... as for example Nixon. Ardy, I did not label anyone a traitor. And, if I were to use the word, I would state how I was using it -- in the legal sense or in the general sense. Yours, Issodhos
