So here's the simple question:

"If you had it to do all over again, what would you have done?"

... as wide open as it gets... laugh

I would have had far less respect for authority than I did when I was a kid.

More travel,
and more of a lot of things that I avoided out of caution and unfamiliarity

I would have far more respect for authority than I did when I was a kid. And maybe a few less drugs. Choosing drugs over college may have been my very worst decision.

I would have recognized my own self worth at an earlier age.

I would not have overslept the morning I was supposed to take the Foreign Service exam.

it took what it took to get me here, and i like where i am, who i am with and where i appear to be headed. that said, i would have spent less time with alleged friends in turkey and hopped that plane to egypt instead of heading back to istanbul, but that's another story.

sure, you can talk to god, but if you don't listen then what's the use? so, onward through the fog!

Hell, I'm not through yet!

I once had a very good job offer in Galway. I should have taken it. A few years later my wife had a good job offer in London. We didn't take that opportunity either. I'd like to have taken one of them.

2wins, good for you - I feel much the same way. The thing I can think of is that I would have taken some practical advice from my good friend John in 1983, instead of insisting on learning my lesson the hard way.

But as regrets go - that's not a big one.

So those pictures made it on to the Internet?
