Thanks, It. Like most issues, there is no right or wrong. People have a tendency to pick and choose. They take positions that make them feel good about themselves, or support what they've decided to believe in, or support what someone else tells them they should believe in, or what would make their lives easier, more convenient or less fearful.

Wishing someone dead out of anger, disagreement or hate isn't different than wishing someone dead for any other reason. Death is death is death.

On some level I think it may even be inborn. Kids do it quite naturally...until they're taught not to. But does suppressing/repressing it kill the gut reaction?
