With all due respect to Kazan's film I daresay Rush is closer to Elmer Gantry, at least the first half of the film anyway. I'm still waiting for a Lulu Baines that can't be bought off or silenced.
Okay, on second thought, maybe a little of both.

This whole "stop wishing Limbaugh dead" theme reminds me of all those "stop attacking Christmas" threads on the righty nutjob boards. The idea is, if you dare to say "Happy Holidays" or "Season's Greetings" to someone, you're attacking Christmas. I myself like to say "Merry Christmas" because I happen to celebrate Christmas. But I could care less if someone elects to use a different phrase. So, I take it that if we don't all wish Rush Limbaugh a speedy recovery, with our hands clasped over our hearts and a tear in our eye, then we're automatically praying for his demise?
"You're either with us or you're with the terrorists"
Stop wishing Limbaugh dead indeed...he's been released and he's going to most likely be around for many more years because he has the best damn health care his money can buy.
So don't worry, the private wishes of millions don't have any effect on Mr. Limbaugh's health and neither to the public expressions of those private wishes.
And Christmas won't be killed off either. There's too much money in that too.

I wouldn't wish him dead. I hope he recovers. But would it be all right to make fun of his "chest pains"? You know, the way he mocked and made fun of Michael J. Fox's Parkinson symptoms?

Who did wish him dead? Did I miss that? And in the same vein, who ever said you can't say Merry Christmas? I've never heard anyone say that. I think it's one of those knee-jerk, defensive, persecution complex things...that probably is perpetrated and encouraged by Limbaugh and Friends.

The "Merry Christmas" campaign was initiated by Bill O'Reilly's offense to Macy*s printing "Happy Holidays" on their shopping bags a few seasons ago. Mr. O'Reilly was incensed that Macy*s took the focus of the "holiday" away from Jesus Christ. ...and as we know that Orthodox Church around the 3rd century moved "Christmas" closer to the Winter Solstice to compete with the Wiccan holiday.

Stop wishing Limbaugh dead indeed...he's been released and he's going to most likely be around for many more years because he has the best damn health care his money can buy. Rush did have the following to say upon being released from Queens Hospital in Honolulu: One appeared to be aimed at health care reform, when he said he got the best health treatment in the world "right here in the United States of America."
"I don't think there's one thing wrong with the American health care system," Limbaugh said. "I got no special treatment other than what anybody else that would have called 911 and had been brought in with the same kinds of symptoms."What more was there to say on the issue? Seems like we have always had the most perfect healthcare system ever with abosolutely no room for improvement. I wonder what all the recent fuss has been about? Hopefully this post was "on topic."

I'll bet the Rush has one of the Cadillac Health Insurance plans and of course America has the best health care in the World - if one has health insurance. Hello. Not having health insurance is what this debate has been all about. Apparently, Rush did not get that memo.

Rush saying that healthcare in America works just great is assinine. Yeah it works great...for those of us with healthcare. The statement that Rush made as he left the hospital is so elitist. But, I wouldn't expect anything less from Rush. TMZ snapped this photo of Rush leaving the hospital: ![[Linked Image from i48.photobucket.com]](http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/ca_rickf/Rush.jpg)
