It is precisely because of the things that you've outlined that there is no longer any respect, for the system, for learning, for morals, for the law, for civility itself.
And why should there be? There's clearly one set of each for one set of people and another for the rest of us.
And though it's always been that way to some extent, these days it is so out there, on such a gigantic scale, and so in your face that it dwarfs all historical comparison.
It is, quite simply, fuel for the coming fires, which will most likely engulf the entire world.
