I also use FFox and Norton, and have encountered that message on occassion re updates that clearly are safe. Sometimes it just means Norton isn't updated

Phil, Thanks. You're probably correct, but it's been 2-3 weeks and Norton should be up to date by now. I'll complete downloading the update and running it. The first time I ran the download Mozilla pop-ups began appearing on the screen, so I reverted the hard drive just to be on the safe side. A week or two earlier I did pickup a virus and I'm not sure where or how. I don't visit any problematic sites and take every precaution possible. I removed that bug, but shortly after a loud shrill came over the speakers. I had them turned on, but I wasn't listening to anything. That noise appeared to effect the keyboard. At different times "/" or "e" appeared in the google search engine repeating indefinitely. Finally, "eeeeeeeeeee...." appeared and wouldn't stop. I had to replace the keyboard. Joe
