Sure, in the afterlife, but when I strike bargains with people, they first get something here on earth--glamour, beauty, talent, wealth, fame, glory, a golden fiddle. Those Haitians have nothing, and I mean nothing. And that was before the earthquake.
Haven't you seen "Crossroads"? Or "Damn Yankees"? If I had a thing going with Haiti , there'd be lots of banks, skyscrapers, SUVs, exclusive night clubs, Botox--that kind of thing. An 80 poverty rate is so not my style. Nothing against it--I'm just-saying: Not how I roll.
You're doing great work, Pat, and I don't want to clip your wings--just, come on, you're making me look bad. And the good kind of bad. Keep blaming God. That's working. But leave me out of it, please. Or we may need to renegotitate your contract.

No doubt there is some truth in the linked article. On the other hand, there are also inferences that are far from correct. For example, the article mentions he term "charismatic" was first coined by Harald Bredesen, a Lutheran minister, in 1962, to describe what was happening at that time in the old-line churches. Confronted with the term "neo-Pentecostal," he said "We prefer the title 'the charismatic renewal in the historic churches.'"[2] ... which would leave one with the impression that the Lutheran denomination was somehow participatory in the ongoing development of this movement. I was raised in this religion, and have many friends and family that participate up to the highest levels. And I am quite certain that this is not representative of the denomination. As a matter of fact, the most recent controversy is Lutheran Group Eases Limits on Gay Clergy I would say that this is not characteristic of a rock ribbed fundamentalism organization.

No, no, Ardy, these are the people who flaked off of the Lutheran church. Yes, you are right. I also was raised, and still attend a Lutheran Church-in fact I am assuming that Ardy is ELCA, just as I am. Most of the time we are considered a bit stodgy...
