I kinda thought the same thing , Rick. Sounds like too much sugar. If I made it, which isn't likely, I think I'd substitute Jiffy Cornbread Mix, it makes awful cornbread that's too sweet and too crumbly but it might tone this recipe down a little bit.
Last night I Started with Spring Rolls, then had a Thai Glass Noodle Salad, rolled up in Romaine Leaves(three stars, I started sweating) Then cut a Red Snapper Fillet into one inch cubes, breaded and deep fried them. Chef Rudee made me a special Red Curry sauce with lots of Bamboo Shoots to smother the fish.(four stars, brought tears to my eyes) served with lightly steamed vegetable medley and two Singha Beers. Then a coke, then some water, I don't think I'll ever advance to 5 stars.
