This is a newly released video of an atrocity that occurred in 2007. We discussed it briefly in another thread, we also shrieked and screamed constantly, for 7 years, during the Bush Administration, when this occurred, about multiple nefarious war crimes and atrocities committed by American troops and with the blessings of our government. This new bit of footage isn't surprising or, to me, any more offensive than the pointless torturing of individuals and the complete destruction, without reason, of an entire country by, primarily, the Republican Party. Steps have been made to wind this thing down finally, I'm not satisfied with the continuing wars in either country but at least I can see a small light at the end of a very long tunnel.

We've also had many threads regarding Erik Prince and his Blackwater mercenary company, now called Xe Services LLC due to all of the bad publicity Blackwater received during the "war" in Iraq. We also had a thread or two about the use of White phosphorous compounds, an incendiary weapon, WP burns fiercely and can set cloth, fuel, ammunition and other combustibles on fire, in the attack on Fallujah by the Bush Administration in 2004.

So....posting this on CHB is like preaching to the choir.
I'm relatively new here so I didn't know whether it had been discussed. I felt it was an important issue that, for the most part, the media has glossed over or neglected entirely.

*Laughs* Yes bored, a little like preaching to the choir but any and all of these things are worthy of discussion. My reply would have taken a different tack if you asked me what I thought about it. You asked if we had discussed it though, I think we just skimmed over it in a thread called "You Think You Get The News" or somesuch. Since it happened in 2007 it aint exactly new news. If it had happened last week you can bet your ass we'da been all over it. Welcome to ReaderRant, by the way! We look forward to hearing more from you.

Yes, this topic is an important issue of the day, however, some of us Ranters already believe many former employees of the GW Bush Administration are war criminals. Some of said former employees even admit to being a war criminal. It is now Eric Holder's job to do something about these war criminals, or he too, faces culpability for non-prosecution.

My guess is that nobody will be charged and if they are, it will likely be passed down on some low level official who will get the 2ndLt William Calley treatment.

Yep, these crooks will walk away from their crimes.
It's the old political Rope-a-Dope game. Deny and lie until everybody either becomes so desensitized or just plain forgets.
