Only thing holding up deployment of these centrifuges is some permit, ruling, okay, or something or other by the Coast Guard, EPA, or some other federal agency. Shouldn't President Obama just step in and cut the bureaucratic red-tape to make these tools immediately available?

if we have evidence that these machines do indeed work as they appear to, and it seems we do, i whole heartedly agree.

Well, its Friday, President Obama went down, took a look around, talked to his people, promised virtually everything that the folks living down there wanted, and went home to go on vacation. I was a little disappointed, however. I had thought that he would have a public meeting with all the angry folks. Then we could have all watched as he expertly dealt with unhappy locals, and the problems arising from gov fixating on the well and ignoring the oil in the water. That did not happen. I suspect it was an unfortunate choice but then, I think, there have been a LOT of unfortunate choices to do with this thing.

I hope, however, that they can fix the mess. I hold little faith, but I do hope they can.

First news report of the technology and Costner's efforts to get the government to employ it in the clean up. Costner & Co. began working on the centrifuges following the Exxon Valdez spill. It's old technology. They were down in LA the first week offering it. The problem is federal red-tape. Similar to the problem that LA had getting some Army Corps of Engineer permit to protect their coastline. A lot of the damage to be their marshes could have been avoided. If you haven't already, then please view this video, which explained the problem LA was having with the Corps.
