History tells us that we can't win a war in another country where their fighting forces don't wear uniforms, blend in with everyday citizens. I think history will show that to be the case for other warring countries who fought under similar situations. Ah, shucks. Aren't we already part of that proof? I'm talking 'bout the time when in our homespun clothes we pretty much turned the British into mincemeat. And there they were, all dressed up in their bright red uniforms.

That's right, numan. We did get help from the French.
That and the fact that we had learned guerrilla warfare from fighting native Americans which we used against the more formal type of British warfare.
