Most places have such good smoking areas that its less of a help, especially when most of my mates are still smokers!

Awesome, Schlack.
It just keeps getting better too the more time you put behind you.

Your Charleston trip sounds like fun, Bama.

A belated Birthday to Scouty and congrats to Schlack!

August 17th I roll over three years without the damn cigs.
It's not easy but if you're stubborn enough it can be done.

Just to show you what that does here Schlack, Mr Siannan and I quit smoking 3 1/2 years ago. At the current price of $65 a carton here in good ole NJ (two cartons a week, one for each of us), that would be $21840 in US dollars, which, if I'm not mistaken, based on current figures, in euros would be about 18134. Just to note, you can buy a car for $21840.

Oh! And I didn't include NJ tax in that figure, which would raise the price a little further (Caesar must have his gold) to $23369.

I hope Ms Not-Schlack had a similar success.

I was watching Hal Sparks on TV the other night. Showtime, I think it was. And he made an interesting point. That it wasn't so much really about second-hand smoke, although that was the excuse that they used. It was about the stink of it.

coffee

And the more I thought about it, the more I realized he was right. Because once I got my sense of smell back (yeah, cause it does come back, after you clear the nicotine and smoke out of your nose), you start to realize after you stand on an elevator next to a smoker, "jeez, I used to smell that bad too!"

shocked

Seriously.
