I was suspicious that the "spill" was more serious than MSM was reporting when our government didn't make BP stop using Corexit. The US Coast Guard stopped a number of barges siphoning the oil for "safety" reasons because there weren't enough life preservers on board yet didn't stop the use of this extremely toxic dispersant?

But as Henry Fountain explains in the New York Times, the gadget in question — an oil-separating centrifuge — marks a major breakthrough in spill cleanup technology. And BP, after trial runs with the device, is ordering 32 more of the Costner-endorsed centrifuges to aid the Gulf cleanup.

Not to discount the news in your source, but a tiny dig to the left or right led me in short order to, among other things, an article which states that Russians BANNED microwave ovens in 1976 because:
"Creation of a binding effect to radioactivity in the atmosphere"
Uhh...ohhh...
Microwaves and radioactivity...there's that Wwooo wooo thing again, fluoridation a communist plot, microwaves are nuking your food, cell phones spread evil radiation all throughout your home, wifi is slowly killing you, your cat is being recruited by the CIA to report your thoughts.

Sounds more like Torchwood to me...
back to the scheduled topic, though: I keep reading that A Whale is being tested. Anybody know what it's being tested for? I've heard there are environmental concerns but I'm having a hard time imagining what they are...
