Hell I am old enough to remember getting my first filling with no Novocaine at all.  "Does that hurt or is it just the pressure?" Did he really say that to you? Mine said the same to me! I thought he was fussy at me for being such a sissy. He finally stopped and asked me if I wanted to be put to sleep! Seriously. This doc and I have a history. I love him but we do like to yell at each other. Phil, I know you're bloody and messy tonight. I make those same associations. Let's try hard not to though. Soldier on....teeth or not. Oh yuck. A brandy maybe?

Kon Tiki 1947 - At age 10, this was the epitome of adventure.
In a world that was still quite large, Heyerdahl and friends captured the imagination of the world. The book waiting list at the library was weeks long, but worth every waiting minute. Sometimes odd things wedge in our memories with flashbacks that are so real.

Re: Falling... So scary. Glad to see no permanent damage. Living in seniorville, falls are the most frightening and sadly most common problem we have in facing the future. Getting up out of a chair, or simply walking on an uneven surface become acts that must be planned. Falls rank as high as fear of cancer or heart attack. The brain is always younger than the body.

Oddly enough, and timely , both bride and self suffered trauma (filling and breaking) in the past two days. Born with old fashioned flourideless pearly off whites, we figure to have bought at least three Mercedes and a small yacht for our care providers. Based on the current estimates, it looks like about $25,000 for the two of us... and that's with no guarantee. I think we're finally over the bit where the Doctor talks about "preventive"... and "you'll wish you had spent the money to keep your original teeth"... and the prospect of new full uppers and lowers that are straight looks better every day. Just wish we had done it about 50 years ago... Would have saved enough to hire a maid and a chauffeur. Something we both could enjoy. Not saying which.

Mellow and It~I am fine. I have a slight bump,but that's it. My doctor did call me when I got home. I am scheduled for a check up and a possible medication adjustment. Phil~I still have some Vicodin. Mr. Scoutgal filled my prescription for it, but I never used it.

Stoned! Suweet!! That is too cute, Mellow. How's everybody's teeth doing? Hey, I know no other way to ask it. I get my couple of broken teeth fixed in September. Good news is, they don't show and there is no decay. I major break (no pun intended...trust me).

WHOO HOO! California's Proposition 8 was overturned by our State Supreme Court! CONCLUSION
Proposition 8 fails to advance any rational basis in singling out gay men and lesbians for denial of a marriage license. Indeed, the evidence shows Proposition 8 does nothing more than enshrine in the California Constitution the notion that opposite-sex couples are superior to same-sex couples. Because California has no interest in discriminating against gay men and lesbians, and because Proposition 8 prevents California from fulfilling its constitutional obligation to provide marriages on an equal basis,the court concludes that Proposition 8 is unconstitutional.
REMEDIES
Plaintiffs have demonstrated by overwhelming evidence that Proposition 8 violates their due process and equal protection rights and that they will continue to suffer these constitutional violations until state officials cease enforcement of Proposition 8. California is able to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, as it has already issued 18,000 marriage licenses to same-sex couples and has not suffered any demonstrated harm as a result, see FF 64-66; moreover, California officials have chosen not to defend Proposition 8 in these proceedings.
Because Proposition 8 is unconstitutional under both the Due Process and Equal Protection Clauses, the court orders entry of judgment permanently enjoining its enforcement; prohibiting the official defendants from applying or enforcing Proposition 8 and directing the official defendants that all persons under their control or supervision shall not apply or enforce Proposition 8. The clerk is DIRECTED to enter judgment without bond in favor of plaintiffs and plaintiff-intervenors and against defendants anddefendant-intervenors pursuant to FRCP 58.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
